- About
- Audio Innova (AI, https://www.audioinnova.com/) is a spinoff of the Padua University founded in 2013 with the mission to bring innovation in the field of digital humanities, taking advantage of the scientific research carried out at Centro di Sonologia Computazionale (CSC, http://csc.dei.unipd.it) to solve real life problems. Sergio Canazza, CEO and founder member of AI, is the scientific director of CSC. AI is a multidisciplinary small enterprise, but not merely a sum of a bunch of disciplines (information engineering, computer science, mathematics, musicology, archival studies, and economic history). AI is something entirely new: it uses Artificial Intelligence to enable the dialogue among different cultures and populations (Computing and Cultural Heritage: preservation and valorization; Computational Creativity) and to facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities (e.g., Multimodal interaction for Learning and Well-Being, Acoustic analysis for Safety and Security in the Workplace). AI is one of the founding members of Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence (MPAI, a not-for-profit organization which develops standards for data coding using Artificial Intelligence in ICT systems, https://mpai.community/). As MPAI member, AI focuses on the IEEE Audio Recording Preservation (ARP) standardization (IEEE P3302, PAR Approval: 21 Sep 2022, https://standards.ieee.org/ieee/3302/11006/). AI won Cannes Neuron award at WAICF 2023 (Creative AI trophy).
