- The 3IA Côte d’Azur is one of the four “Interdisciplinary Institutes of Artificial Intelligence” labeled in France in 2019. It specializes in Health and Intelligent territories. Its objective is to create an innovative and influential ecosystem at the local, national, and international levels. It is coordinated by the University of Côte d’Azur in partnership with the main actors in higher education and AI research in the region: CNRS, Inria, Inserm, EURECOM, and SKEMA Business School. 3IA Côte d’Azur is part of the 3IA network which consists of: 3IA Côte d’Azur, ANITI Toulouse, MIAI Grenoble, and PRAIRIE Paris.
// PARTNERSHIPS AND INNOVATION The 3IA Côte d’Azur develops high-level research activities thanks to a pool of 41 academic Chairs, 3 international Chairs, and 95 Doctoral and Postdoctoral students. By the end of 2022, the 81 collaboration contracts with the industrial sector represent €14.5M of direct contributions. With 23 3IA-labeled training programs, the Institute has doubled the number of people trained in AI within its ecosystem.
// EDUCATION AND TRAINING In 2022, the University of Côte d’Azur obtained €8M for the project of the French School of Artificial Intelligence - EFELIA. This project, operated locally by the 3IA Côte d’Azur Institute in connection with the 3IA network, aims to structure a French School of Artificial Intelligence to massify AI training at all levels (specialists or interdisciplinary).
